PSJUK welcomes the latest report from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for International Freedom of Religion or Belief, which highlights how Nigerian Christians continue to be systematically targeted on account of their faith.
Commenting on the publication of "Nigeria: Unfolding Genocide? - Three Years On", PSJUK CEO Ayo Adedoyin said:
“This report makes clear that the situation has deteriorated further over the past three years. Nigeria is now the global epicentre of violence against Christians, accounting for nearly 90% of all Christians killed worldwide.
This situation requires urgent attention, and I call upon the UK Government to put pressure on their Nigerian counterparts to ensure that Nigerians of all faiths or none are allowed to live freely, worship according to their beliefs, and are free from the threats of violence and persecution.”
