Unpacking the Nigeria Crisis | PSJ UK Conference 2020
About this Event
Join PSJ UK in their second annual but first ever digital conference on Friday 4th December 2020.
PSJ UK is an organisation made up of mainly African diasporans living in the UK who are particularly keen on contributing positively to development, peace and security in our heritage countries. We have a particular focus on the country of Nigeria which has found itself in the midst of both opportunities and challenges at the same time.
Our three-part day of talks, seminars, interviews and panels will feature a wide range of distinguished expert speakers from around the world – including former president H.E Olusegun Obasanjo – to help us unpack some of the issues facing Nigeria today.
Our talks and panels will include topics such as:
- Distinguishing Islam from Islamism
- The Nigerian Security Services – Fit for purpose?
- The Role of The Media in Nigeria
- The Vitality of Data
- The Religious Dimension in the Middle Belt
A full programme will be released in the coming weeks, with options of multiple breakouts throughout the day.
We will be taking questions from our audience ahead of and on the day of the conference, so do look out for emails from us asking for yours.
We are also thrilled to be hosting an online press conference for new report: The Silent Slaughter.
Earlybird tickets are available this week only for £10.
Joining information will be emailed to you after ticket purchase.
